My name is Mike, and I am happy and very excited to announce The Lunch Box!

Well, the Lunch Box was my little brain storm after my wife and I liquidated our trucking company in 2009 and I needed to get back to work. And here is where the story
begins... (Insert Twilight Zone music here)

I spent my childhood summers in my Grandparents grocery store and meat market, helping make and serve some awesome food in Plymouth MI.  I graduated from Waterford Township High School in 1983. From there I joined the US Navy and proudly served under Ronald Reagan as a Navy Corpsman and was honorably discharged in 1988.

Then it was off to Alaska! Ice Road Truckers anyone? I was a cook and kitchen helper up there in Dead Horse, aka Prudhoe Bay. I worked a few camps up there, but was stationed primarily at the Arco Base Camp right across the road from where the Ice Road Truckers do their thing today. It was a hoot to saythe least! And pretty cool to see the places that I have lived and worked on TV.

Well, I left there and back to Michigan! I went to work with my mom at the family business. We had a very nice golf driving range in Plymouth MI with a small deli and ice cream shoppe up until a few years ago when it was time to move on... And here we are today!

We have went to Chicago and teamed up with Vienna Beef to bring you the finest meats, chili's and soups know to man! We will serve only the finest products, with the freshest ingredients. Everything we sell is brought in fresh from Chicago, not frozen, so that you can have a taste experience that you will not find anywhere in the area.

We may be small, and I mean small, but no cost has been spared to bring you the very finest in roadside culinary delights!
